Permissions used

  • activeTab — exports only run against the Kindle tab you explicitly act on.
  • tabs — identifies and communicates with the active Kindle Cloud Reader tab.
  • scripting — injects a capture script into read.amazon.com to extract page content.
  • downloads — saves the exported PDF to your device when you click Export PDF.
  • storage — persists your export preferences and anonymous install ID locally.
  • webNavigation — identifies the correct frame within the Kindle reader.
  • Host access is limited to read.amazon.com and api.kindletopdf.com.

Export modes and limits

  • Current page — exports the visible Kindle spread. Free.
  • Page range — exports any range of up to 10 pages. Free.
  • Whole book — exports the entire book. Requires an upgrade (coming soon).

How to use

  1. Install the Kindle to PDF Chrome extension.
  2. Go to read.amazon.com and open any book from your library.
  3. Click the Kindle to PDF icon in the Chrome toolbar.
  4. Select Current page or Page range and set your start and end pages.
  5. Click Export PDF and wait for your download to complete.

Privacy

Book content is sent to our secure PDF rendering API and is not stored after your download completes. No analytics or third-party trackers are used. Read the full privacy policy.
